Feeling overwhelmed and not being sure of what to do next is common.
One of the more difficult aspects of grief is that there are no rules and with that there is also no legally prescribed format for a funeral or memorial. However this means it is open to you as to what you wish to include to ensure you properly reflect the life of your friend or family member.
It is not easy saying your final goodbye to friends and family but I am here to help, support and advise you so that you can plan and move through the funeral or memorial with ease.
Take your time and consider where and when the funeral or memorial should occur, and how you would like your friend or family member to be remembered.
Choosing a venue that you are comfortable with is important. If there is a particular place that is special to you, your friend or your family member, holding the funeral or memorial there will be helpful. There are a number of really lovely venues in Canberra for funerals or memorials including but not limited to; The Margaret Whitlam Pavilion at the Arboretum, Gold Creek Chapel, Kamberra function centre, Gold Creek Station, The Marion, Cuppacumbalong and Tuggeranong Homestead- just to name a few.

One of the main benefits for having a funeral celebrant facilitate the service is that it allows someone else to take the lead. My role is to support and assist you and to ensure the funeral or memorial occurs in line with your, and your friend or family member's, wishes.

One of the main benefits for having a funeral celebrant facilitate the service is that it allows someone else to take the lead. My role is to support and assist you and to ensure the funeral or memorial occurs in line with your, and your friend or family member's, wishes.
Every person and occasion is unique and the celebration of the life of your friend or family member is no different. No matter who the funeral or memorial is for, I will, in collaboration with you create a personalised ceremony that reflects the life your friend or family member lived. I can also assist in preparing a eulogy or formulating tributes if needed, and if required I can step in for anyone speaking if they need help.
I am a highly experienced public speaker and have been creating and conducting funerals since 2016. I along with your chosen Funeral Director will work together to ensure the ceremony is conducted with professionalism, compassion and care.
While I reside in Canberra I also travel if you wish to hold the ceremony outside the ACT.
