About Us

I have lived in Canberra since 1974 and raised my own family here. I enjoy the fact that we get all four seasons, sometimes in the one day. I also understand the layout and that you are either a north sider or a south sider!

I began working as a Funeral Celebrant in Canberra because I was keen to ensure the final farewell of someone much loved and respected is a true reflection of the person and the life they lived. I understand grief and loss is difficult and that each person's response is their own and in the same way, I respect that each farewell should be developed and conducted in a way that is meaningful to those left behind. With your guidance I will create and deliver the service of your choice. 

I bring a range of skills to this role after retiring from a long and varied career in the public service that began in nursing before moving to teaching and finally into dispute resolution and complaint management. In addition to a Bachelor of Education and a Masters of Dispute Resolution I have also completed a Certificate IV in Celebrancy. I have been an authorised celebrant since 2015 and since then I have conducted a range of ceremonies all of which have been unique and special.

I am very much a people person and offer a professional and flexible approach to meet your needs with respect and sensitivity to ensure your comfort.  I work closely with you and your chosen Funeral Director (if you are engaging one) to ensure the funeral or memorial runs smoothly and you and your family feel supported.
