Bringing it all together

To begin I will arrange to meet with you and whoever is involved in arranging the service, at a time convenient to you and usually in your home. 

At the first meeting, we can discuss the ideas and thoughts you have for the ceremony and I can guide and advise you should you be finding it difficult to decide what might work best.  During this same meeting, we will also spend time talking about your friend or family member so that I have a greater sense of them and their life. 

After this initial meeting I will begin drafting an order of service and the script for the ceremony. I will share this initial draft with you to assist you in further developing the ceremony.  We will continue to work on this plan until you are satisfied it properly reflects your friend or family member and includes all the elements you prefer.

In addition to this I will liaise with your chosen funeral director, if you are engaging one, along with the team responsible for AV and any other vendors involved on the day.  I will also provide them with a copy of the order of service, once it is finalised and approved by you. This ensures we are all working towards the same outcome, which is for the ceremony to run smoothly and for you to feel supported.

I am available to you at any point in the lead up to the ceremony and on the day, to answer questions you may have, provide advice and guide and support you in any way you might need. I am also available to anyone who may be drafting and delivering a eulogy or tribute to assist them if they need me to.

On the day, I will arrive prior to the service commencing and check in with the team to ensure everything is working and everyone is ready with what they need to do to best support you. 

I will lead the ceremony and will be there to step in should any of those speaking find they are not able to deliver their tribute.

After the ceremony I will send a follow up email with a copy of the ceremony as a keepsake. 

The fee associated with engaging a funeral celebrant in the ACT is $600 (single service)- $700 (double service). 

**This fee is all-inclusive (all meetings, phone calls and communication involved in drafting the ceremony and confirming the details of the service, plus all travel and attendance on the day).
